Thought Diary storage
The Thought Diary stores diary entries locally in the current browser on the current device using IndexedDB.
This means the diary is kept in your browser storage rather than in a Wellbeing Compass account or server database.
Diary entries are not sent to or stored by Wellbeing Compass.
Diary entries do not automatically sync across devices or browsers.
If you clear your browser or site data, those diary entries may be permanently removed.
Wellbeing Compass cannot recover locally lost diary entries.
If the same browser profile or device is shared, another person may be able to see the saved diary entries.
The Thought Diary is not monitored by a therapist or by Wellbeing Compass.
The first-use storage explanation is remembered with a small localStorage flag so the reminder does not appear again after you have acknowledged it. This is separate from the diary content itself.
IndexedDB and localStorage are browser storage features, not absolute security or encryption guarantees.
